The Downy Woodpecker...

The Smallest woodpecker in North America and a constant visitor at my property who is.. always busy.  These photos are of the adult male, who has an identifying red patch on the back of his head.  The Downy Woodpecker is identical to the much larger Hairy Woodpecker except for a few small black spots on their white tail feathers.- If you look close, with a little imagination, you can faintly see the spots in the last photo.
