The Carolina Chickadee...

This handsome bird is a resident of the upper half of the United States and into Canada. An interesting fact about the Carolina Chickadee is that, much like a squirrel, it hides seeds to eat later, it can actually recall up to 1000 hiding spots...  Chickadees also have a complex vocalization including a warning call alerting others to a potential predator.

Call:  Chickadees make their chickadee-dee-dee call using increasing numbers of dee notes when they are alarmed:    
                                                      "Click for Sound"

The Cornell website describes this bird as "cute" and I have to agree, that's a fairly accurate description!
