There is very little that can improve birds for me -- but snow does seem to make them statelier (or cuter, if they are all puffed up). Great photo!
Hello Rebecca, it is marvellous to see the colourful birds in your part of the world, great photographs, your goldfinch is so different from ours.Your husbands knowledge of trivia and the little known made me smile.People often say to me, how do you know about s--- like that, it just comes naturally, I know so little of the important stuff.
I love this catch. And thank you for the spring counter at the top of your blog.
You are blessed with such colorful birds in your garden. I have some very demanding blue jays who bang on my kitchen window if I haven't put out seed for them. They are tremendously spoiled. I'm going to tape a photo of your Cardinal to my window so they can see what their cousins are dealing with.
A beautiful photo of the cardinal in the snow. Snow and Cardinals are a match made in heaven for loveliness.
I sure wish I could see one of these beauties- I don't believe they are in my area. Just a beautiful color!
Cardinals are SO beautiful in the snow! I have a similar photo from the big snow we had here in late December.
It doesn't even look cold - good thing it doesn't need camouflage though! Wonderful photo.
Beautiful picture! Cardinals are tough birds. We have a lot of them in VA and I never get tired of watching them. I'm a rotten photographer and can never catch pictures of birds. I'm better with plants. They don't move!
What a great capture!
